What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Heavy Equipment Operator position at Waste Connections?
John Smith Landfill, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate position available for a CDL Driverat our operation in Hollister, CA.
The primary duties of this job is operating : Excavator, Loader, Dozer, compactor. Class B CDL is preferred. We are looking for candidates with heavy equipment experience listed above.
The schedule will be 4 days per week, 10 hour days, plus some overtime. The schedule will include either a Saturday or Sunday.
The starting pay rate will be $30-45/hour, depending on experience. We also offer great family benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Proficient in operating all yellow iron on site.
* Operating Dozer, Compactor, Excavator, ADT, Loaders, Backhoes, and Roll off Trucks
* Loading recycle materials in a hopper
* Pushing up piles of yard debris, rubble
* Responsible for equipment inspection
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Class B CDL highly preferred
* Ability to be self directed as well as work in a team environment
* Ability to work in all weather conditions
* Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
