What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Aide position at Watch Me Grow Early Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide support and supervision to students in the classroom
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with the teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities
- Assist with individualized instruction and small group activities
- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-classroom activities
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Familiarity with math and literacy education concepts
- Understanding of special education strategies and accommodations
