What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide (Full-Time) position at WATERFALL CANYON ACADEMY?
The Program Dietary Aide is responsible for managing and organizing the kitchen; prepping, preparing, and serving meals; ordering food based on a provided menu; maintaining a clean kitchen; and adhering to Health Department and Licensing Standards.
Description for Full-Time Dietary Aide:
- Must be self-motivated and driven to plan ahead and adhere to the provided menu, serving meals on time.
- Must be able to read a recipe and make adjustments in order to prepare meals for up to 25 people.
- Be aware of student dietary needs, exclusions, allergies, and strictly adhere to them.
- Must have knowledge of or be willing to learn about how food/nutrition contributes to the overall well-being of a person.
- Must be willing to problem solve and contribute ideas and solutions to the overall team effort.
- Must be willing to identify any areas that need to be cleaned, disinfected, organized or maintained and follow provided checklists.
- Assure Health Department regulations are observed.
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Manage time and efforts efficiently, follow instructions, and complete delegated tasks.
- Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
