RDC Key Carrier

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the RDC General Manager, the Key Carrier supports management in achieving efficiency in donor services, retail support and recycling. Primary duties include but, are not limited to, supervision and accountability of employees, volunteers and clients. Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Associates Degree or 1 or more year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid state driver’s license and be insurable by the WRM insurance carrier.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acts as manager on duty in the absence of the RDC Manager.
• Assists in the management of all aspects of the RDC’s assets (maintenance, repair, protection, etc.)
• Assists with the preparation for weekly meetings (including safety training) and daily devotions with staff.
• Assists with system/critical processes and allows/test theories of improvement which will increase productivity and increase revenues;
• Provides customer service to donors and stores, and manages all types of feedback.
• Assists in management of incidents or injuries on the RDC premises.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are implemented and established processes are followed.
• Provides and maintains documentation as needed for payroll.
• Produces documents and tests theories of improvement to our processes, create new processes when necessary and maintains a culture of quality and accountability.
• Assists in management of donated merchandise inventory for the stores (receiving, processing, and shipping).
• Develops atmosphere of teamwork and good communication with RDC staff and store personnel.
• Supervises subordinates. Is responsible to see that the supervision of clients and volunteers is effectively carried out. Responsibilities may include interviewing, orienting and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensures orientation & coaching of ministry clients in order that they attain employee skills.
• Advices ministry staff of progress or difficulties.
• Some travel may be necessary for training & temporary duty.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other Mission management.
