The Dean for Teaching and Learning will provide leadership and oversight for curriculum development, faculty development, and instructional technology across all teaching modalities. This includes overseeing programming within the Teaching and Learning Division and supervising staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing faculty development programs focused on innovative teaching practices, especially in areas such as High-Impact Practices (HIPs), Competency-Based Education (CBE), undergraduate research, and emerging educational technologies.
- Overseeing the work of the Teaching and Learning division to ensure faculty are supported with resources, training, and professional development needed to succeed in various teaching modalities.
- Providing leadership in developing and implementing faculty support programs for new full-time and adjunct faculty, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and effective teaching practices.
