Position Criteria:
- Valid Iowa teaching license
- 5-12 Language Arts endorsement, required
- Reading endorsement, preferred
Performance Criteria:
- Push-in services in language arts classrooms.
- Targeted intervention support and progress monitoring.
- Family/community liaisons for school.
- Case management for at-risk students.
- Advocate for students’ success in all areas (academics, social/emotional, behavior).
- Ongoing collaboration with teachers and administrators.
- Delivery of professional development in a variety of ways.
- Implementation of PBIS.
- Support implementation of Problem-Solving Process.
- Successful experience of implementing research-based instructional practices, including implementation of the Framework for Meeting the Needs of All Learners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development as described in the Iowa Professional Development Standards and support of the Iowa Teaching Standards as the foundation from which to build that ongoing growth plan.
- Ability to involve parents and the community in supporting student learning and healthy development.
- Knowledge of characteristics of at-risk learners.
- Evidence of initiative and motivation.
