Job description – Machine Operator, Pay Commensurate with Experience
Job Purpose: Set up and operate automated production line to produce a quality product in a safe manner that meets weight and measurement requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure machinery properly operated and maintained to maximize output.
2. Safely operate computer-aided production line – setting up & adjusting process parameters to ensure consistent quality product. Can operate independently with minimal supervision.
3. Verify materials/ingredients to ensure conformance to established quality standards
4. Constantly monitor equipment & surroundings to ensure safe and efficient operation
5. Record operational and production data on required forms in timely manner
6. Weigh or measure materials to ensure conformance to label requirements
7. Perform minor operational repairs with ability to make necessary adjustments to maintain in quality tolerance conditions.
8. Perform daily inspection and scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery
9. Maintain a safe & clean work environment
Skills/Qualifications:
Able to lift 75 pounds - desired
Experience with automated equipment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a positive work environment
