We’re looking for a (preferred) and hands-on Community Manager Runner to serve as our on-the-ground representative, ensuring our properties operate at peak performance and our standards are upheld.
Position Overview
The Community Manager is a part-time, on-call role that involves hands-on management of our rental properties. This role requires someone with hospitality or property management experience who can perform inspections, coordinate repairs, manage inventory, and ensure all operational aspects run smoothly. The candidate should be bilingual (Spanish preferred) to collaborate effectively with our cleaning team.
Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Management & Inspections
- Conduct weekly quality checks at properties to ensure cleanliness, safety, and guest-readiness.
- Perform quarterly detailed inspections and document any necessary repairs or updates.
- Conduct random spot checks to uphold high-quality standards.
- Inspect for unreported damage and document findings for follow-up action.
Inventory & Maintenance Coordination
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, linens, and property essentials; manage reordering when needed.
- Track and report inventory levels monthly.
- Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance with contractors and vendors.
- Replace and test batteries for smoke detectors, smart locks, and security cameras regularly.
- Key management ensures each property has a spare key securely stored in a lockbox onsite.
Coordination & Oversight
- Communicate and coordinate with cleaners, handymen, and other service providers.
- Oversee linens management, including laundry logistics and timely replenishment.
- Perform spot checks after cleaning to ensure cleanliness standards.
- Support the cleaning team by addressing their operational needs as required.
"Boots on the Ground" Tasks
- Act as the on-call field representative to respond to immediate property concerns or emergencies.
- Address urgent guest-related issues requiring an in-person resolution.
- Collect and manage mail or deliveries at each property.
- Meet contractors and service providers onsite for scheduled repairs, maintenance, or installations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bilingual Preferred: Spanish and English to collaborate effectively with a predominantly Spanish-speaking cleaning team.
- Reliable Transportation: A dependable vehicle to travel between properties across the DC Metro area.
- On-Call Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, and respond to short-notice calls.
- Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in property management, hospitality, or cleaning is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring properties meet WavyStay's quality standards.
- Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize and juggle multiple responsibilities.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members and contractors.
- Problem Solving: Resourceful and calm under pressure when addressing unexpected challenges.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with smart home systems, keyless entry setups, and basic troubleshooting of property technologies.
