Substance Abuse BHT (Behavioral Health Technician)

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly with adults with behavioral health challenges. This role involves implementing behavior intervention plans, supporting clients in achieving their goals, and providing a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
• Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately.
• Assist in crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure client safety.
• Collaborate with other professionals to promote effective communication and support for clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding client information.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
• Lead group substance abuse as well as individual support sessions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention techniques.
• Two years in a behvarioral health environment but may accept a degree.
• Familiarity with addiction counseling is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.57 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
