Job Summary

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, facilitating communication between clients and the service department. The Service Writer will ensure that all customer needs are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of service quality.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Accurately document customer requests and relay information to technicians.
- Schedule appointments for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Provide estimates for service costs and explain necessary repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
- Ensure that all work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in managing inventory for auto parts and supplies.
- Utilize auto service management software to track work orders and customer interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience in an automotive service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with various automotive services such as oil changes, brake repair, tire service, and diesel engine repair is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand customer concerns effectively.
- Experience with auto body repair is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
