Position Summary
The Optical Sales Associate helps the patient choose their perfect eyewear by teaching them about frames, lenses, and lens enhancements. The Eyewear Consultant creates exceptional value in the lives of our patients by delivering exceptional and unforgettable patient service through the ‘We Care’ Service Standards.

Main Performance Objectives
- Greets patients immediately when care transitions to Gallery Department and offers exceptional service. (ICON selling)
- Understands insurance verification and processes proper invoicing.
- Processes Lab orders and applies and takes payments.
- Follows protocols when fitting glasses and dispensing glasses.
- Follows protocols when inputting and outputting inventory.
Secondary Performance Objectives
- Assists patients with the purchases or re-orders of contact lenses/eyeglasses via telephone, text, or email.
- Identifies situations involving unsatisfied customers and acts quickly for resolution.
- Takes pride in the appearance of the optical gallery and shows initiative in keeping the displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized.
- Adheres to merchandising standards and keeps frame boards full.
- Transitions patient to exit window so they can set their yearly appointment.
- Protects patients’ rights (HIPPA) by maintaining confidential personal and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- 1 year experience in retail sales
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales environment
- Current State Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Basic math skills required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking.
- Must be able to lift at least 25lbs.
- Perform work with OSHA required PPE, Including COVID19 PPE

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
