Job Summary:
The Quality Technician develops and tests new products, raw materials, and processes. They ensure products meet quality standards by performing inspections and providing technical support to the Sales Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create testing plans for new raw materials and products.
- Test the performance of new products and materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Document quality and safety test results.
- Stay updated on new technologies for testing equipment.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team.
- Develop and follow best practices for all quality activities.
- Assist in product development to meet safety and performance requirements.
- Help resolve product quality issues.
- Coordinate certification testing for products.
- Calibrate testing equipment.
- Participate in product improvement events (e.g., Kaizen).
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Experience with root cause analysis and quality improvement tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety rules and testing standards.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and M2M software.
- Knowledge of product testing is a plus.
- Ability to work extended hours if necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a lab or testing environment.
