We are looking for an energetic and proactive Business Development Manager who has a passion for technology. You will build the sales process, achieve/exceed revenue, and expand our customer base. You will be a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert with core expertise in servers, data centers, and colocations. This is a new position at our company; you will be responsible for generating leads, following up on leads, negotiating deals, closing them, and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential clients.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home, potentially more after the introductory period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive the entire sales process: identify and qualify prospects, deliver detailed product presentations, negotiate contracts, and close business deals.
  • Engage in conversation with industry customers to drive and qualify new opportunities and build a pipeline.
  • Conduct outbound cold calling and set face-to-face appointments with your clients, depending on the situation.
  • Learn products, services, and solutions to deliver value to your clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the account manager to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Initiates conversations with prospective customers/partners at events to expand the external network.
  • Collaborates with partners and internal ecosystems to analyze competitor products, solutions, and/or services and implement strategies.
  • Reviews feedback reports and establishes recovery action plans to improve clients' overall experience. Manages and/or orchestrates sales and delivery success through the account manager.
  • Assist with promotional material, social media posts, and other advertisements.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in sales, building sales strategy, and meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Passion for technology.
  • Strong technical knowledge of data centers and servers is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical demands: the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee may be required to walk long distances, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may drive for extended periods of time. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Expected domestic travel up to 25%.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Full-time position

Benefits:

  • Base salary DOE: $80,000 - $90,000/year
  • Uncapped commission on top of the base pay
