Job Title: Energy Program Manager
Location: Providence, RI (Hybrid Schedule: 2 Days Remote, 3 Days In-Office)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
General Overview:
- The Energy Program Manager will play a key role in supporting the development and management of various clean energy projects from concept through implementation. These projects include building decarbonization initiatives and energy benchmarking efforts. The position will also assist in public outreach, communication, and reporting efforts for a statewide energy program.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation & Reporting:
- Collect and analyze key metrics and data for ongoing energy projects, including decarbonization and energy benchmarking initiatives.
- Develop and maintain facility inventories for public buildings.
- Draft and update program documentation such as memorandums of understanding, contract amendments, and requests for proposals.
- Organize and analyze data for quarterly and annual reports, websites, presentations, and other communications.
Outreach & Program Development:
- Conduct outreach to stakeholders to promote clean energy programs and build project pipelines.
- Develop outreach materials (e.g., memos, reports, web content, contact lists).
- Expand building inventory data and evaluate facility equipment for use in program planning and development.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with stakeholder groups.
- Contribute to report writing, data visualization, and public communications for the program.
Program Oversight:
- Oversee solar PV production data collection from state facilities and generate weekly and monthly reports.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate any issues with solar module operations, including connectivity with vendors.
- Manage data uploads to support participation in demand response programs and facilitate associated payments.
Support & Coordination:
- Schedule and organize meetings with public stakeholders and provide logistical support for annual awards events.
- Represent the program at public events such as expos, conventions, and industry shows as needed.
- Conduct site visits to troubleshoot, monitor project progress, collect data, and take photos.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading meetings and effectively communicating with the public.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the energy sector or governmental programs.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
- Providence, RI: Relocate before starting work (Required)
