As an Engineered Wood Support Specialist, you will take the lead role in supporting our engineered wood customers. In this position where you will gain knowledge in every aspect of our engineered wood business while working as part of the WFP Engineered Wood Products (EWP) Team. The focus of this position is working with and through others, building and maintaining relationships, and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. An effective communicator is ideal for this position. Each day will involve working in a fast-paced environment and offer a variety of interactions with others.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed floor, roof, and wall designs using Javelin and Forte software.
- Create accurate and competitive bids, presenting them effectively to customers.
- Provide technical assistance and resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design values and product specifications, including TJI-Joists, Microllam LVL, Parallam and Parallam Plus, Timberstrand LSL, Architectural Glu-lam, Simpson Strong Tie connectors, Titan Timbers - Post Frame columns and potential future product lines.
- Engage with customers to understand their building needs and offer cost-effective solutions.
- Handle sales and order entry with precision and attention to detail.
- Present bids and design solutions to customers, ensuring clarity and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Division Management to optimize EWP stock, focusing on length assortments to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- CAD experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of construction principles.
- Critical thinking skills to quickly solve issues and/or problems.
- Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Prior Sales experience.
- A 4-year college degree is preferred.
- Experience in Engineered Wood Products sales preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies, documents, and small packages up to 20 pounds. Occasionally, heavier lifting may be required.
- Occasional travel could be required.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
