Commercial Sales Manager

Western Products is seeking a Commercial Sales Manager with a strong hunter mentality to drive new business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for seeking out and cultivating relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and organizations in need of our commercial siding and new construction services. The ideal candidate excels at networking, is adept at building and maintaining long-term client relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Lead Generation
    • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial siding and new construction sectors.
    • Prospect and schedule meetings with contractors, architects, developers, property managers, and other key decision-makers to grow our commercial and new construction business.
    • Research market trends and competitor activities to identify potential leads and stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build strong, lasting relationships through consistent, authentic communication and follow-through.
    • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence when handling client inquiries, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
    • Maintain regular contact with existing clients to uncover additional needs and opportunities for expanded service.
  • Sales Execution & Closing
    • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to determine labor, material, and cost requirements.
    • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Present and explain estimates to clients, ensuring clarity and understanding.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage the sales cycle from initial outreach to completion of project.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
    • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of prospects, sales activities, and pipeline status within the company’s CRM system.
    • Provide regular updates on market conditions, client feedback, and revenue forecasts to leadership.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Partner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and materials that support your outreach strategies.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to stay current on industry trends and expand your network (i.e. Homebuilders Associations, Builder’s Exchange meetings/events, etc.)
    • Identify and share insights on process improvements, innovative product offerings, and potential partnerships.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Proven Sales Experience: 3 years of successful outside sales or business development experience, preferably within construction, building materials, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial siding, roofing, or building products is highly desirable.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize, connect, and build trust across diverse client profiles.
  • Hunter Mentality: Driven self-starter who thrives on finding, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities and maintaining ongoing business relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn and convey product features, benefits, and technical specifications.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM tools for pipeline management and sales tracking.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
