Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Collaborate with customers to design, implement, and optimize Juniper Networks-based data center solutions that align with best practices and meet business requirements.
- Apstra Expertise: Lead the integration and automation of data center environments using Apstra for intent-based networking, automation, and lifecycle management. Configure and manage Apstra's AOS (Automation and Orchestration Software) to ensure network infrastructure meets scalability, performance, and security requirements.
- Project Management: Manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within scope, quality, and budget.
- Customer Engagement: Work closely with clients to gather requirements, conduct technical assessments, and provide expert recommendations based on their infrastructure needs. Provide ongoing support and consultation during and after the project delivery.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex data center network environments. Leverage Juniper Networks tools and technologies to optimize network performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Produce high-quality technical documentation, including network designs, configurations, and project status reports.
- Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams including architects, project managers, and other engineers to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Training: Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients to ensure they are equipped to manage and maintain their data center environments post-project.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Juniper Networks data center solutions, including but not limited to QFX, EX Series, and MX Series switches.
- Hands-on experience with Juniper Apstra and a deep understanding of intent-based networking, automation, and SDN (Software-Defined Networking).
- Previous experience working in a VAR (Value-Added Reseller) environment and managing project-based client engagements.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Juniper Networks products, including routing, switching, and SDN technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing data center networks and architecture using Juniper Apstra.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, and MPLS.
- Exposure to other Data Center software-defined network solutions, such as Cisco ACI or Arista CVP.
- Experience with network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting tools.
- Certifications:
- JNCIE-DC (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert - Data Center) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
- JNCIA-Junos (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate) or higher-level certifications.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, managing competing priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with network design methodologies and best practices (e.g., spine-leaf, three-tier).
- Familiarity with public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure) and integration with on-premises data center infrastructure.
