The Low Voltage Systems Specialist will support the safe operation and maintenance of low voltage systems under the guidance of senior team members. Key responsibilities include assisting with basic remote troubleshooting, supporting larger projects, and performing administrative tasks to support the Security & Communications Team. The specialist will also provide on-site and remote technical support as needed. A successful Low Voltage Systems Specialist is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in supporting, troubleshooting, and resolving basic issues related to telecommunications and security systems, including VoIP, access control, video surveillance, and other low volt systems
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely support for user inquiries and technical issues
- Help manage project documentation through the company’s centralized database and assist with project status updates
- Participate in vendor communications and assist with requests for quotes (RFQ’s) and vendor scheduling
- Collaborate with the Security & Communications Team to identify and escalate more complex issues as needed
- Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned by management
- Maintains and organizes detailed, accurate, current, and complete records for all assigned projects. Develop documents as needed for technical reference
- Ensure that all troubleshooting efforts are documented for future reference and knowledge sharing
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and operational standards
Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ experience in low-voltage systems or related fields
- Understanding networking concepts, IP-based security systems, and low voltage systems
- Knowledge of security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV, telephone entry), preferred
- Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programs
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail and processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
- Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
- Experienced in Microsoft products is a must (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

- Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times

- Ability to lift 50lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending and climbing
- Ability to work outside of normal scheduled hours as needed
- Ability to work 5 days a week in the Kirkland Home Office
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% throughout US and Canada
- Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
- Valid and current driver’s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance
Salary : $24 - $29
