Our highly respected precision metal stamping company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will support the human resources functions at our Diemasters location by administration of benefit plans; on-boarding of new team members; recruitment; employee relations; performance management; work closely with Corporate HR.
Responsibilities
- Regularly engage with employees on the production floor to assist them with any questions and promote our culture.
- Work closely with Corporate Human Resources and Payroll to process salary changes; hires; terminations; personnel changes.
- Facilitate on-boarding process from Offer Letter to Day One including the organization of materials, conducting new team member orientations, verification of I-9’s, etc.
- Benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, leave and communication.
- Responsible for the administration of worker compensation reports, unemployment and disability cases, record keeping and documentation.
- Employee Relations: addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and investigating employee issues while referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the VP of Human Resources.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Administer compensation program; write job descriptions, evaluate positions, recommend merit adjustments, promotional increases and annual adjustments to the salary structure and complete wage/salary surveys.
- BA/BS in Human Resources or related equivalent experience with 5 years of experience as HR generalist, manufacturing experience a must.
- Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment/labor laws and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Team player, excellent customer service and excellent communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills; detail oriented; organized.
- Must be able to work independently and manage a diversified workload with a high level of discretion.
