Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Electrician Apprentice in Central Kentucky. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced electricians, gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in electrical systems, installations, and maintenance. Punctuality and attendance are a crucial aspect of this position. Must be able to work in outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under the supervision of experienced electricians.
- Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand electrical layouts.
- Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical components and wiring.
- Learn to troubleshoot electrical issues and participate in repairs.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Attend training sessions and courses to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in the electrical field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and protocols.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Must not be colorblind due to the nature of electrical wiring work.
Skills, Licenses, Certifications, and or Special Training:
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to safely operate vehicles with an automatic transmission.
