POSITION: Elementary STEM Coach, 2025-2026

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid SC teaching certificate.
- Minimum of five years in elementary education.
- Strong understanding of educational technology and STEM.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for inspiring a love of learning and exploration in elementary students.
- Additional certifications in STEM education. (preferred)
- Experience working as a STEM coach or specialist in an elementary school setting. (preferred)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Instructional Technology
GENERAL SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Elementary STEM Coach to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an innovative STEM program for elementary students, fostering a love for learning and curiosity about the world. As a STEM Coach, you will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to integrate STEM concepts into the elementary curriculum and promote a hands-on, inquiry-based learning environment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and Develop an age-appropriate STEM curriculum for elementary students.
- Create engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Lead STEM lessons and activities in collaboration with classroom teachers.
- Provide support to teachers in integrating STEM concepts across various subjects.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for elementary teachers to enhance their understanding of STEM education.
- Stay current with educational trends and advancements in STEM fields.
- Manage and maintain STEM-related materials, equipment, and resources.
- Assist in the research and procurement of new materials and technologies to enhance the STEM program.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other educational staff to align STEM initiatives with school goals.
- Foster strong partnerships with parents to encourage support for STEM education both in and outside the classroom.
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure the effectiveness of the STEM program.
- Analyze student performance data and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
In addition to the physical and mental capabilities implied by the responsibilities detailed above, the essential functions of the Technology Coach include the following: reading, writing, hearing, speaking effectively, analyzing data, occasionally lifting/ moving items weighing up to 25 pounds and must hold a SC driver's license and be able to drive to school locations.
