RCM Specialist - DME

About the Company:
Wellstart Medical was founded in 2019 to improve diabetes care. Wellstart is a direct to consumer provider of continuous glucose monitors, insulin pump supplies, and other diabetes testing supply products. The Company provides patients with education, support, and access to a fast, simple, and reliable way to obtain diabetes supplies on a recurring basis.
Position:
Wellstart is seeking to hire a RCM Specialist to perform functions within the Company’s billing and accounts receivable department.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for claim submissions to both government and commercial payors in accordance with all insurance regulations and requirements.
- Provide all necessary documentation required by payors to resolve claim issues or denials, including medical records, prior authorizations, audits, etc.
- Analyze and research all denials and over or under payments.
- Ensure all payor correspondence is reviewed and followed up on immediately.
- Oversee timely posting of all cash receipts and reconcile statements on a daily basis.
- Maintain accurate insurance price tables in the Company’s billing software system in order to ensure proper revenue recognition and budgets and projections are presented accurately.
- Manage all finance related paperwork requirements when onboarding new insurance contracts.
- Prepare various daily and monthly reports for Company review, including cash waterfalls, accounts receivable aging’s, denial reasons, and other reports as needed.
- Review historical data to identify collection trends and develop cash collection targets and goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients and resolve any accounts receivable requests in a timely and accurate manner.

Education and Experience:
- 2 years of relevant billing experience.
- Deep understanding of medical billing rules and supporting documentation requirements for both government and commercial payors.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPC coding, modifiers, and other medical terminology.
- Experience in a billing function for diabetes testing supplies, particularly continuous glucose monitors or insulin pumps, will be strongly considered.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Brightree billing experience a plus, but not a requirement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
