We seek a top-notch Document Control Specialist for our Stockton facility. The Document Control Specialist manages all production documentation, ensuring that documentation is complete and accurate. Process Material issues for material picked from the Stockroom department. Assists in providing specified compliance documents upon request from customers. Assisting with running required reports for functions to assist Stockroom and Shipping. Run daily reports for Work Orders processed from the day before from Customer Service.
The Document Control Specialist has the responsibility of:
- Saving all required documentation on the server to assure record retention
- Initiate processes to maintain and update WO's as needed and to complete and close WO's.
- Issue material electronically for in/out purposes or due to RTS.
- Provide a REACH certificate for any customer who is requesting one within a timely fashion.
- Create and maintain an MSDS database and keep the MSDS binder and database updated and current.
- Update all redlines on original work orders to the kit sheets.
- Ensure that the work order and the production folder print have the same part number and the most current revision.
- Maintain, control, and keep all records current in all production folders. To assure that only current revisions (customer and internal) are accurate and up to date per Engineering and Sales
- Make sure that redlined production prints have been reviewed by Engineering, and follow up with Engineering to assure they are completed in a timely fashion
- Assure that all work orders are completed and closed accurately after parts have shipped.
- Emai the Tecate, Mexico plant any work orders that are being built in that facility
- Build new design BOM's (Bill of Materials) from new orders
- Update BOM's (Bill of Materials) in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system from redlined orders
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of office experience
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and ability to complete all daily responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
