The Accounting Clerk – Accounts Receivables is primarily responsible for ensuring customer invoices are paid in a timely manner, while maintaining positive relations with customers. The role applies cash or cheque payments received against customer accounts.
Annual base salary range $53,000 - $57,000

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily processing of cash payments received (cheques, wires, EFTs, credit cards) to customer accounts
Accurately process and record all transactions
Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices to collect payment
Communicate with customers and internal operational teams to resolve invoice issues such as incorrect pricing, incorrect quantity, etc.
Prepare the monthly customer auto debit bank file to collect cash from customers
Request credit limit overrides for trap grease customers to allow for service
Research and resolve customer account discrepancies
Provide customer account status updates as requested
Retrieve customer invoices and supporting information as required
Maintain detailed records regarding payments and account statuses
Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
Provide back-up support to other members of the Accounting & Finance Team as necessary
Assist with general office administrative duties (filing, corporate mailouts, organizing, front desk reception coverage, etc.) for various departments

Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in an administrative or accounting role required
Prior experience using Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and Document Management Systems preferred
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Intermediate competency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and tight deadline is crucial.
High attention to detail.
Graduate from a recognized post-secondary certificate or diploma program in the fields of Accounting, Commerce or a related area of study is an asset
