West Development is a management company located in Carlsbad, CA. Our office serves as the business support office for portfolio companies across various industries including senior housing, IT business solutions, and commercial development.
We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day HR support in multiple functional areas such as: Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, and Workers’ Compensation. The HR Generalist is eligible for the company’s hybrid telework program after successful completion of training and satisfying the program’s eligibility requirements. The pay range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually plus bonus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with leadership to resolve employee relations issues, including counseling actions, investigations, and other related issues.
- Lead full-cycle talent acquisition efforts and generating related reports and metrics.
- Maintain and administer performance evaluations and merit increases.
- Responsible for workers’ compensation program and OSHA 300A filings.
- Support implementation of HR initiatives at business unit level.
- Assist in development, administration and interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Conduct presentations and facilitates training on HR related topics.
- Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Desired Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- 5 years of progressive human resources experience with a minimum of 1 year as a Generalist
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or combination of experience with HR certificate or designation.
- ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail oriented with advanced critical thinking skills
- 5-10% travel
