Job Summary: West Fraser seeks an Electrical Apprentice to join our electrical maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, experience with controls systems, and be currently enrolled in or completed a 2-year program in EET or Mechatronics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment using PLC, HMI, and other resources
- Work with assigned mentor to repair mechanical, electrical, hardware, and software issues
- Diagnose and analyze electro-mechanical and instrumentation equipment
- Apply knowledge in electrical principles to install, repair, or replace defective equipment
- Complete tasks and projects assigned by mentor and manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in or completed 2-year program in EET (Electrical Engineering Technology) or Mechatronics
- Basic computer skills and experience with controls systems, MES, and SAP
