The following position is available in the West Springfield Public School system: MATH TEACHER WEST SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOLResponsibilities: -Meet and instruct assigned classes in the location and at the times designated.-Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, interest, and abilities of students.-Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals.-Establish and communicate clear objectives to the students for all lessons and units-Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media to meet the needs of the students-Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, provide progress reports as required, and communicate with parents as necessary-Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.-Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.Qualifications: -Massachusetts D.E.S.E. Certification in Mathematics 9-12-Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution-Familiarity with Illustrative Mathematics curriculum is desiredSalary: Per Unit A Contract
