Parks/Blackwater Falls State Park Under the direction and scheduling of supervisors, this employee will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work for the maintenance and repair of state facilities at Blackwater Falls State Park. This work will include, but not be limited to, rough and fine carpentry; plumbing; electrical; concrete and masonry; window cleaning; trash pickup; landscaping and grounds keeping; snow removal; housekeeping and janitorial work; repair water lines; floor care and maintenance; washing vehicles; vehicle maintenance; repair toilets and sewer system; repair sewer lines; move furniture; load and unload supplies; move and replace appliances; inventory supplies; repairs to HVAC units; repair to kitchen and food service equipment; electronic repairs; maintain fire alarms and suppression system; small engine repair; maintain safe workplace; painting; operating vehicles; operating mowing equipment; operate various hand tools and power equipment. Employee will plan and develop scheduled construction and maintenance projects as instructed by the supervisor. Work will include developing materials and supply lists, estimating staffing needs, and determining tools needed to successfully complete the project. Employee will work with park guests to immediately resolve their maintenance requests in a manner reflecting a positive image for Blackwater Falls State Park. Employee assists with other building and grounds maintenance projects as needed to get the major projects completed within designated times frames and to enhance the park guest experience. The employee will primarily work the evening shift. Employee must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights. Performs related duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required.

Training: No formal education required.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building maintenance or as a helper in a building trade.
Special Requirement: Specific positions may require certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the Clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling.
