This position will manage all aspects of the Record Retention Program for the Department of Administration and all of state government. Under general supervision, at the full-performance level, this position will plan and coordinate the Record Retention Program on a statewide basis, including identification of internal and external key stakeholders. It will be responsible for the business functions associated with the program. It will perform in-depth analysis of program financial and support needs and recommend policy and procedural modifications. Work includes developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to clients’ needs, interpreting and applying program policies and practices, providing consultation, and coordinating all facets of the Record Retention Program.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Plan and coordinate the Record Retention Program for state government
  • Manage the team to coordinate the efficient and effective storage and disposal of records
  • Develop and oversee a plan to convert paper records to electronic storage
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other state agencies to ensure appropriate handling of their documents

Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

OR

Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a

rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) hours of training.

AND

Experience: Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative experience in

organizing and coordinating administrative program initiatives.

PG:  16     $43,357 - $75,789
