Summary
We are looking for an experienced IT Technical Project Manager with strong interpersonal skills to lead and execute technical projects. This role collaborates across departments and executive levels, listening to business leaders to understand challenges, working with developers to evaluate solutions, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. By bridging technical and non-technical teams, they translate complex concepts, mitigate risks, and drive efficiency through best practices and continuous improvement.
Some of the work you will do:
- Lead and manage technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, establish success criteria, communicate project progress effectively, and build technical proposals.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Share key project data to team members, fostering alignment and collaboration.
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Optimize project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assess operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
- Review and validate technical architecture to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Conduct systems analysis to identify operational improvements and recommend policy or procedural enhancements.
Here are the skills that you need:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or in a similar role.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Solutions (Dynamics 365, Business Central).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- SQL expertise.
- Project Leadership:
- Proven experience serving as a technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and client-facing abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines within budget.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Here are the skills and qualifications that will set you apart:
- Experience with IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity projects.
- 5-8 years of customer-facing experience managing projects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Technical Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or similar.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work primarily in a sedentary position using a computer and phone.
