What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst Revenue Accounting position at Western Digital?
This role requires a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional with a track record of success in global revenue operations. In this role you will support the global revenue operations team partner with other business functions on projects and support transformational projects to achieve best in class results.
Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Senior Manager this individual will be part of the team that owns the global process for the customer program rebate reserves for Western Digital and will be responsible for the calculation posting and analytics of customer program rebate reserve accruals within the Western Digital subsidiary. The person in this position will assist the revenue team with various harmonization projects and work closely with Revenue Accounting and Reporting teams and business partners from BU Finance Claims Settlement and IT teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for monthend journal entries balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly close deliverables including the calculation and validation of program reserves
- Analyze monthly and quarterly results of earned rebates for accuracy and completeness and be able to effectively communicate the results to business partners
- Conduct review meetings with BU Finance stakeholders of accrual results
- Review processes on an ongoing basis and implement improvements
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to modify and implement functionality improvements to system reports and processes
- Preparer of SOX controls and internal and external PBC requests
- Assist with system implementation projects as needed
