Western Flyer is seeking an Insides Sales Associate to assist in booking freight on a daily basis. Ideal experience is Inside Sales within a 3PL or Transportation company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in booking freight, working closely with our 3rd Party Brokerage.
Responsible for working with 3 PL brokers to book freight on a daily basis
Searching Load Boards for new freight
Must communicate efficiently and professionally with Fleet Managers and Customer Service Representatives
Data entry of loads and freight into company system
Responsible for understanding customer service / communications expectations and proactively working with Load Planning and Fleet Management to prioritize the meeting of expectations
Proactive communication with Western Flyer Express customer base
Must be driven and competitive
Responsible for input and appointment setting/modifications of loads booked
Maintain compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, colleagues and managers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
1-2 years of transportation experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
