What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Programs and Events position at Western Kentucky University?
The WKU Innovation Campus Program/Event Management Coordinator will provide event planning and execution for all events in which the WKU Innovation Campus is involved. This will include events at the WKU Innovation Campus Headquarters on Nashville Rd, as well as events at regional Innovation Campus locations and other community events in which the Innovation Campus is a partner.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs:
- Provide Event Planning Services for clients at WKU's Innovation Campus HQ, all regional Innovation Campus locations, and events in the surrounding community for which the Innovation Campus is a partner/co-organizer
- Manage all aspects of event staffing, including temp staffing, WKU EPAFs, various payroll scenarios, etc.
- Hire and manage all aspects of venue/event: vendors, contractors, artists, and other event support services
- Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and other participants in Innovation Campus events
- Manage communications with the public for queries around events
- Perform general office duties, including credit card reconciliation, budget management, invoicing
- Work with Event Designers to create promotional materials for one-time and recurring events
- Support digital marketing of events
- Manage and participate in the setup and tear-down of various forms of events
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least one year of experience with non-credit programming (i.e- event planning/coordinating)
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $39,100 - $45,000
