General Summary
Western Michigan University’s College of Education and Human Development invites applications for the position of Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Educational and Instructional Technology in Kalamazoo, MI. Position is open and will remain open until filled. WMU is classified by the Carnegie Foundation of the Advancement of Teaching as a “high research activity” university. Major Duties
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educational and instructional technology including Foundations of Instructional Technology (EDT 5410); Empowering Education with AI (EDT 5030); Integrating AI in Learning Design (EDT 5030); Innovative Learning with AI (EDT 3040); and Fundamentals of Online Learning (EDT 6430).
- Conduct research in educational and instructional technology.
- Advise graduate students.
- Engage in program development and student recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Position requires a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Educational Technology or a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from an accredited institution.
- Ph.D. dissertation on algorithmic literacy or artificial intelligence (AI) within education.
