Position Summary:
The Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Western Oregon University will oversee all aspects of the men's basketball program, including coaching, recruiting, academic oversight, and team development. Reporting to the Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, this role involves managing assistant coaches, student-athletes, and daily administrative tasks. The coach will also be responsible for fundraising, public relations, organizing camps and clinics, and ensuring compliance with university, NCAA, and GNAC regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to student-athlete success, program leadership, and maintaining a professional and compliant environment.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Coaching Experience: 3–5 years of high school or college coaching experience
- Fiscal Management: 1–2 years of experience managing budgets and financial resources
- Student-Athlete & Team Development: 1–2 years of experience supporting student-athlete growth and team dynamics
- Strong communication, adaptability, problem-solving, time management, and leadership abilities
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to foster a supportive and competitive team environment
