What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Supervisor position at Westfield Area YMCA?
Description
The Westfield Area YMCA is looking for an Event Supervisor for birthday parties and other events hosted at our YMCA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in planning, implementation and delivery of party/event activities
- Set up and clean up
- Ensure safety and security of all guests
- Participate at all times in engaging children in age-appropriate activities during the event
- Must be professional, pleasant and enthusiastic during the events and demonstrate the YMCA’s core values
- Ensure event areas are clean, supplies/equipment are stored properly, and the event area is organized properly and free of clutter, etc.
Pay Range: $16-20 per hour, based on education and experience

Requirements
Energetic and enthusiastic qualities needed
Experience working with children
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to work weekends (Friday nights, Saturdays and/or Sundays)
Good communication skills
Willing to become CPR and FA certified; will certify in house at no cost.
Salary : $16 - $20
