    Position: Westfield Washington Schools/ Westfield Education Foundation – Assistant
    Location: Hamilton County, IN
    Reports To: Westfield Washington Schools Community Engagement Coordinator / Education Foundation Executive Director

    Westfield Washington Schools is one of the fastest growing school districts in the state. With an “A” rating from the Indiana Department of Education, WWS enrolled nearly 9,100 students, in 2022-23, across one early learning center, six elementary, one intermediate, one middle, and high school. The district employs more than 600 teachers and nearly 250 support staff. Westfield High School is ranked in the top 3 percent nationally by U.S. News and World Report, and has a graduation rate of 98.3 percent, with 86 percent of its graduates continuing onto higher education.     Westfield Education Foundation
    The Foundation was established in 1986 to assist with funding that would enrich the opportunities for our Westfield community. Donating to the WEF allows the Foundation to support the needs of our students and staff as the curriculum evolves and our community grows. The mission of the Westfield Education Foundation is to work alongside Westfield Washington Schools and the Westfield community to empower and invest in our students and staff. We do this by growing and providing resources that enrich and enhance teaching and learning at Westfield Washington School. The Foundation supports WWS through grants, scholarships, programs, and innovative solutions. To-date, the foundation has awarded over 2 million dollars in grants and scholarships. Serving one of the fastest growing school district in the state motivates our board to ensure we can meet the needs of our students and staff.

    Position Summary

    The WWS/WEF Assistant will be essential to the growth and development of the Foundation and the district's community engagement. The position will support the WEF executive director and assist with cultivating community partnerships for the districts. Specifically, managing the Customer relationship management (CRM) database, supporting the executive director with community engagement, data analysis, social media, and developing retention strategies. The position is not limited to the defined description. We seek a flexible team member willing to assist as we celebrate and support students and staff across all ten Westfield Washington Schools.

    Desired Knowledge Skills:

    Associate or bachelor’s degree in non-profits, communications, or a related field.
    Experience in nonprofit grants management, fundraising development, and philanthropic activities.
    Volunteer management experience.
    Experience with event planning.
    Experience with technology, social media, software management, and other administrative duties.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong abilities in Word, Excel, and Canva.
    Experience with community relationship management.
    High personal initiative.
    Commitment to working with faculty, staff, students, and diverse community groups.
    Ability to successfully manage organizational details and deadlines.
    Essential Functions of Position:

    Support the WEF Grant & Scholarship program. Assisting with the application process, rubric, and preparation for selection.

    Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for different WEF and school events.

    Work alongside the executive director to plan and host fundraising events.

    Conduct administrative duties such as:

    • Organizational calendar planning,
    • Social media content planning,
    • Donor stewardship (receipts, thank you notes, data input in Bloomerang software)

    Positively represent the Foundation and build strong relationships with community leaders that are mutually beneficial to WEF and Westfield Schools.

    Confidentiality and integrity are required with all donors and Foundation materials.

    Perform related duties as assigned by WEF.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision from your supervisor
    • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment on a flexible work schedule.
    • Ability to work in designated office space, in a remote location, and/or home office and meet desired performance objectives.
    • Ability to travel within Hamilton County and the surrounding area.
    • Ability to push/pull, lift, move and carry up to 30 pounds.
    • Must be able to attend occasional meetings and/or events on weekends or after normal work hours

    Position Salary and Benefits:

    The WEF/WWS Assistant is a salaried, full-time position with a flexible work week of 40 hours. Certain months/events have a higher volume of work and will work alongside the Westfield Schools calendar. The candidate would be a Westfield Washington Schools official employee and would have access to Westfield Schools employee benefits. Annual salary will range between $40,000- $45,000, depending on experience. All staff employees new to WEF will serve and successfully complete an initial ninety-day probationary period that allows both supervisor and employee to assess the working relationship, performance, and overall fit with the organization.
