JOB TITLE: Payroll & HRIS Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
FLSA: Exempt
LOCATION: Yonkers, NY
REPORTS TO: Payroll and Benefits Manager
SALARY: $70,0000 to $80,000
Benefits And Perks
Have ownership of managing and processing payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and addressing any payroll-related issues that arise. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, contributing to employee satisfaction and financial accuracy. Collects data and analyzes it to improve HR strategies and processes, and suggests ways to increase the functional productivity and workflow of the HR department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associates Degree Required and 3 years’ experience in payroll processing. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred. Experience in administration of diverse benefits and not for profit experience preferred.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining HRIS System:
- Audits of all new hire profiles for accuracy and compliance.
- Reviews and approve new hire benefit enrollments, tax withholding, address changes, dependent changes.
- Reviews all Personnel Change forms: terminations, Transfers, promotions, demotions, rate changes, for accuracy and compliance.
- Conducts audits to ensure integrity of data in HRIS system is accurate. Making corrections as needed.
- System maintenance: Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Payroll Processing:
- Payroll processing: Conducts audit of ADP Time & Attendance and compare to payroll register for accuracy.
- Calculating Pro-rated pay for ALL new hires, terminations and promotions, including vacation payout for terminations.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities as required.
- Issue resolution: Address and resolve any payroll-related issues, including discrepancies, employee inquiries, and tax-related concerns.
- Reporting
- Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
