SUMMARY
Responsible for day-to-day HSE related tasks in the HSE group.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following :
Safety
- SiteHawk management- uploads SDS's as requested, conducts annual audit of system for additions, archiving and chemical lists maintenance.
- Serves as scribe / secretary for Safety Council Committee.
- Conducts safety checks at administration facilities- Fire extinguisher, AED & signs (monthly).
- Manages permit audit data-data processing, filing, and reporting for all departments.
- Maintains HSE records of accident, injury, near-miss, and unsafe conditions investigations.
- Approves SAP MDG requests-GMN materials approvals.
- Conducts outside security lighting checks (monthly).
- Performs initial entry details for incidents and injuries into corporate tracking system.
- Performs initial entry details for incident and injury investigations and all associated action items.
- Performs initial entry of PHA recommendations into corporate tracking system and tracks to completion.
- Performs MOC functions, tracking, reports and overall management of the MOC database.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job is performed mainly in a control room or office setting. Physical presence and predictable attendance required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This job requires response to audible emergency alarms inside of the plant. Employee must be able to evacuate when required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
