The Assistant Director of Culinary - Assisted Living & Licensed Care takes the lead role in ensuring operations taking place in Assisted Living and Martin Health Center are following established standards and requirements made by the culinary department, Westminster Village, and various regulatory authorities. Working with direction from the Director of Culinary Experience and in collaboration with the culinary leadership team, supervises in the preparation and delivery of regular and therapeutic meals in Martin Health Center, Assisted Living and the Village. This position has direct supervision over culinary leads, hosts and culinary attendants while playing a lead role in demonstrating and holding accountable the values of Westminster Village and fostering a team culture that follows this example. This is a salary position, exempt from overtime and requires some flexibility with scheduling as the operation is open 365 days a year.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Knowledge of special diets is desired. The ability to obtain food handler, and ServSafe managers certification is required. Must be able to obtain Certified Dietary Manager certification within six months of employment.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to comply with HIPPA regulations and FDA Food Code.
· Ability to cope with a sense of urgency associated with the scheduled services for the residents. Persists with frequent interruptions from staff, from other departments, and from residents. May be exposed to emotionally upset residents, family members and team members.
· Ability to demonstrate patience, understanding, and tact in interactions with residents, residents’ families, and team members.
· Ability to process various forms of communication and be able to provide direction to team members.
· Prior experience with Microsoft Office Tools, Point Click Care and food service software is preferred.
Salary : $55,898 - $64,275
