What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Chef position at Westport Marina?
The Chef is responsible for the cost effective preparation of hot and cold food items using proper food handling procedures and maintaining high standards of food safety. Must be able to follow recipes and spec sheets to ensure freshness and high quality food. Must be able to lead a team and ensure efficiency in food preparation. Excellent attendance is required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of (3-5) years culinary experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Requires wearing of uniform and ability to fulfill related appearance standards.
- Physical requirements include extended standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling and kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Weekend and evening availability.
