What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer position at Westrock Coffee Company?
Primary Responsibility:
This position will be responsible, as a member of the IT network team, for support and maintenance and of the Westrock global network, focused mostly in Conway and Little Rock, Arkansas and Concord, North Carolina by: working with other network engineers on strategic network designs in order to support current and future applications and business needs; participating in upgrade and system implementation projects; performing day-to-day network configuration updates; managing the onsite Intranet and site-to-site equipment potentially including IPSEC, SD-WAN, monitoring network performance; proactively providing system and network upgrades and updates to ensure all devices are maintainable and supported; assisting other IT administrators with initiatives that entail networking components; maintain an asset inventory of on-site network equipment and assuring that support contracts are in place; contacting vendors in case of equipment failures; and acting as a resource to help resolve escalated user support cases.
Travel:
Occasionally, it will be necessary to travel to facilities in Little Rock, Conway, and Concord. If there is an acquisition, it may be necessary to travel to the location of the new facility. There is also equipment located in other areas around the world. International travel is possible, but not likely.
