Role Title: Director of Admissions and Marketing

Fair Labor Standards Act Classification: Exempt, 11-month position

Reports To: Head of School

Westside Montessori School is searching for a Director of Admissions & Marketing (AD). The AD is responsible for overseeing all aspects of student recruitment, from initial marketing efforts through the application process. The AD will manage the school's admissions and marketing functions to attract prospective students and achieve enrollment goals. The AD leads and collaborates with the WMS staff in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, managing admissions events, and maintaining communication with prospective families throughout the recruitment cycle. 

Primary Functions

• Leads and collaborates with staff in the admissions process
• The AD is responsible for the aesthetic presentation and marketing of the school building in alignment with the prepared environment principle of Montessori. The AD will direct faculty to keep the school presentable and in excellent condition.
• AD runs all admission events and must coordinate the details of events, including content, setup, refreshments, etc.
• Collaborates with school leadership to develop and continuously refine the admissions and marketing strategy
• Aligns admissions and marketing strategies with school vision and broader school goals
• Systematically monitors and follows up with admissions leads via phone calls, personalized emails, text messages, and social media to nurture relationships and encourage enrollment.
• Initial reviewer of student admissions applications
• Schedule and conduct school tours
• Organizes and leads admissions and marketing events, including, but not limited to, Open House and conference booth displays.
• Collects, analyzes, and presents various data admissions and marketing data points to inform admissions and marketing strategies
• Presents monthly admissions and marketing reports to the Head of School and Board of Trustees
• Engages external professional communities (e.g., AISAP, AMS, etc.) that contribute deepened knowledge and support the goals of WMS.

Qualifications

The well-suited candidate will have experience and/or education in school admissions and marketing processes. We are looking for people who possess:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Passion and commitment to the principles and goals of Montessori education
• Have demonstrated ability to work effectively under the direction of others
• Have demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others
• Have the willingness to assume any responsibilities appropriate for the position
• Ability to adapt to the changing needs of children and the school environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and other staff members
