What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOH Manager position at Wheat Montana Bakery & Deli?
We are looking for a Manager to lead all aspects of the BOH business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include contributing to the restaurants's profitability through maintaining quality control, food cost, team development, labor, food safety standards, cleanliness of the BOH this includes our bakery team)
You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in the back of the house.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily BOH restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction through quality control
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer concerns when needed
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Monthly inventories
- Ordering
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
- Team development
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a supervisor, BOH Manager, General Manager preferred
- Proven customer service experience as a manager
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
