About the Role
As a Production Analyst at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient scheduling and prioritization of production orders for mill, off-line, and slitter production. This position requires strong computational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with production systems like SAP and MES. You will directly contribute to maintaining streamlined production operations, managing material transactions, and providing key reporting and analysis.
You will collaborate with various departments, including production teams and supply chain stakeholders, ensuring the smooth flow of production orders and reports. This is an onsite role located in Rochelle, IL.

- Creates and maintains production instructions – Ensures accurate and efficient production processes across mill, off-line, and slitter operations.
- Schedules and prioritizes production orders – Manages production orders using SAP and MES, balancing resources and capacity across various departments.
- Provides analysis and reports – Delivers timely and accurate reports for mill, off-line, and slitter production to support decision-making.
- Manages transactions for outsourced materials – Analyzes, schedules, and maintains records for any outsourced materials, ensuring alignment with production needs.
- Assists in monthly reporting and analysis – Prepares the month-end summary production report, including analysis and insights.
- Supports physical inventory – Assists in the yearly physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
- Identifies slow-moving and obsolete stock – Works with relevant teams to determine disposition strategies for underperforming inventory.
- Supports additional projects – Contributes to other ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed.
- 1 years of experience in production or operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong computational and analytical skills – Able to analyze complex data and make informed decisions to optimize production processes.
- Proficient in SAP (BW, APO), MES, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Wind Shuttle and AI technologies is a plus.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities – Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions quickly and accurately.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills – Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Health and safety-minded – Committed to promoting and adhering to health and safety practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policies.
- Ability to work onsite – Regular, full-time attendance is an essential function of this role.

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
Base Salary Range: [$71,000—$97,500 USD]
Additional compensation may include:
