Wheeler Mission Ministries is a privately funded 501 (c) 3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry whose designated purpose is religious. Position Summary: |
|
|
The Front Desk Receptionist plays a pivotal role in supporting the operations of Wheeler Mission. This position involves administration, communication support, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our visitors. The Front Desk Receptionist performs duties related to HR processes and provides support to all staff, as required. This individual will be the first impression for visitors and should always have the “service with a smile attitude”. Daily tasks require a high-level of consistency while demonstrating a positive attitude and great customer service. |

Key Area: Front Desk Operations
- Greet visitors and answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
- Open and close the lobby during administrative hours (Monday through Friday, 9am – 5pm)
- Provide general ministry information to callers, sign for packages, collect and sort mail for employees.
- Verify if a guest should enter the building, utilizing an intercom system and ensuring the front desk work area is always secure.
Key Area: Administration and Communication Support
- Coordinate monthly birthday communications.
- Monitor the private parking lot and report unauthorized vehicles.
- Perform HR-related duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned by the Director of HR
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports directly to the Director of HR. This position has no direct reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- 1 years of Administrative Assistant or Receptionist experience.
- High School Graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Technical/Software Knowledge:
- Above average knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn HRIS software (Paycom)

- Belief in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible

Physical Requirements:
The Front Desk Receptionist must be able to carry out the required job duties in a fast-paced Christ Centered environment that is grace-based and strengths focused.
To perform the essential job functions of this position, a candidate must be able to:
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Physical ability to bend and/or stoop.
- Strength to regularly lift 25lbs.
