White Oak conserves and sustains some of the earth's rarest wild animals through innovative training, research, education, and conservation breeding programs that contribute to the survival of wildlife in nature. The conservation programs span 600 acres along the St. Mary’s River in northeast Florida, surrounded by 17,000 acres of mixed forest and wetlands that make up the beautiful White Oak property. Founded in 1982, White Oak leads professional efforts to improve veterinary care, develop holistic animal management techniques, and better understand the biology of critically endangered species by providing excellent care and managing conservation programs for over 30 species of imperiled wildlife in large, naturalistic habitats.
Position Purpose:
This is a supporting accounting role for TWG-TWF, LLC & White Oak Conservation Foundation, Inc. and/or its affiliates. The position supports a variety of accounting and finance functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash funding reporting, journal entry accounting and other accounting tasks that arise through the day-to-day operations of White Oak. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Credit Card Reconciliation
• Enter invoices according to Purchase Orders
• Ensure the proper invoices are recorded in the correct entity
• Organize and maintain files for all vehicle, boat, and trailer tags/renewals
• Prepare checks
• Manage deposits and record transactions through 3rd party donations software
• Communicate with vendors as necessary for inquiries of payment, invoice receipt/approval, etc.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
• QuickBooks Experience Required
• 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable role
• Ability to operate without direct supervision and be self-motivated, persistent, confident, and take pride in work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
