Job Description:
We are in search of a Mid-Level Manufacturing Specialist with a strong background in production management and proficiency in manufacturing software, specifically Fishbowl or similar ERP systems. This role involves optimizing our manufacturing operations, managing inventory, and overseeing the physical aspects of product handling from production to shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Set up, configure, and manage production schedules using Quickbooks, Fishbowl, Smart Sheets or equivalent software to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards, making adjustments as necessary for efficiency and waste reduction.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data integrity and traceability.
- Software Utilization:
- Utilize Fishbowl for work order creation, tracking, and management.
- Integrate and manage data between Fishbowl and other systems like accounting software for seamless operations.
- Physical Handling:
- Physically move materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods within the facility.
- Oversee the packing, labeling, and staging of products for shipping.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely dispatch of products.
- Receive incoming materials, check for accuracy against purchase orders, and handle returns or discrepancies.
- **Quality Assurance:**
- Implement quality control checks at various stages of the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues related to product quality.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams like purchasing, design, manufacturing, and customer service to align production with demand.
- Train and guide less experienced team members on the use of manufacturing software and best practices.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for process enhancements.
- Propose and implement improvements in production workflows or software usage.
- Education:
- High School GED or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment with direct experience using Fishbowl or similar manufacturing ERP software.
- Proven track record in production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is beneficial.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with various departments.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.
- Certifications:
- Certification in ERP software is highly desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification is advantageous.
