What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant position at Whiteside County Senior Center?
The Senior Center receptionist position is one of our most vital positions. The Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities include pleasantly greeting visitors, helping them navigate their needs, and supplying them with refreshments as they wait. In addition, they maintain calendars for appointments, sort mail, make copies, and accurately input the Center's vital statistics.
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role working with the public
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
- Bilingual is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
