What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Worker -Islandia Culinary position at Whitsons Culinary Group?
Performs assembly of product into proper containers
Completes pre-assembly work of stocking assembly lines, setting up containers, ensure that all product available and in proper condition.
Applies labeling according to menus and assembles materials into pre-determined packages.
Follows instructions to complete assembly assignments.
Ensure that all procedures are followed for safe food handling
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Payrate : $16 / hour
High school diploma
Able to read and write English and perform duties as prescribed
Basic English Reading and Writing Skills
Must be prepared to work in extreme environment through most of workday
Ability to stand most of workday, moving side to side, using arms to lift and move
Ability to lift 40lbs

Lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and / or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically the packing and warehousing areas
Standing most of the workday is required.
Work requires movement in and out of storerooms, near heavy machinery and freezers
Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
